2024-25 Program Impact!
The 2024-25 School Year was another big one for Everyday Arts, as we worked in 8 schools across 3 districts, partnered with 2 colleges, facilitated 9 workshops and made 143 class visits!
STUDENT QUOTES:
“I really like the energy during class. It showed me that confidence is key, and how one dance can tell a story.”
“This class impacted my life by teaching me about the dance from my culture. It taught me how learning a new dance can be hard and challenging. I was super grateful to be able to learn about this dance.”
TEACHER QUOTES:
“Great ideas for active engagement!”
“My Friendship Squad used so many of these activities as push in lessons for our SDC classrooms. They loved the activities!”
“We’ve done it during Morning Meeting, and the kiddos were excited to do the Picture Posing. It was accessible for everyone since it’s all about mirroring what they see!”
“I loved seeing the ELL students participating, and having fun.”
“These are great ways to incorporate visual arts into the classroom and they are easy to prepare.”
Based on Surveys administered at the beginning and end of the program, teachers reported an increase in their own social-emotional skills, their ability to create inclusive learning environments, and their ability to integrate visual and performing arts into their teaching practice.
